My name is Aidan Spence, and I am a History student at the University of the Fraser Valley.

Some fun facts about me:

• I am an only child.
• I am bi-lingual: I can speak, write and read Spanish at an intermediate level.
• I love reading.
• I also love writing, and am an amateur writer myself.

Throughout high school, English and Social Studies were the courses I always enjoyed the most. It took me some time to realize that was because they dealt with people, not numbers. The things I studied were dynamic, not static. And that made them fascinating.

My ideal goal is to become a professor, because I feel that it will play to my strong suits. It is a very intellectual job, and I consider myself a rather intellectual type of person. I will hopefully stay in the university system for a very long time.

I am something of an indoorsman, I will admit, and not particularly fond of pets. People are much more fun, if just as exhausting, to deal with.
